  14. I want to pick data off the serial port(RS232C) and Manchester 
  15. code it. I found that Harris makes a chip which does encoding and 
  16. decoding (HD6409). I am wondering if anybody has delt with the 
  17. chip? Is it possible to encode data off the serial port right 
  18. away or do I have to bring the data to TTL level?
  19.  
  20. Is it good to use the chip or shall I build my own encoder?
  21. Any suggestion as to how to build the encoder/decoder?
