- I own several Microcom modems, and I'm rather DISPLEASED with them.
- Two of three got broken within one year, Microcom Tech SUpport was
- NOT a great help, the modems are very bad on noisy phone lines, as
- bad as it could be... BTW, these are QX/v.32c beasts.
-
- And when I asked Microcom for upgrade (because I don't think
- there's another idiot who will take that trash away from me,
- and I hate to see those coffins lying under the desk) - try
- to guess what they responded:
-
- "Yes, sure, it will cost about $670 per modem".
-
- Of course I pointed out that I can get a brand new modem for
- less, and of course there was no answer.
-
- Bottom line: if you want to be as sorry as I am - go
- ahead and buy Microcom. Bad quality, bad Tech Support,
- bad Upgrade Policy.
