- This is just hearsay, or 'net wisdom', but here goes.

- I'm sure there are lots of people using Microcom modems. But if memory
- serves me, most of the comments I remember reading here regarding Microcom
- V.32bis modems were negative:

- -a run of modems that consistently wiped out their NRAM
- -a bizarro V.32bis connect sequence which made it impossible to
- connect with a whole bunch of other V.32bis modems (negotiated
- 9600 and then stepped =up= to 14400)
- -something else which eludes me right now ... oh, well

- They're also priced higher than the products many netters here are buying.
- Heck, if you're going to pay through the nose, get AT&T or Codex or the
- like ... at least they WORK.
