- Actually, I think it will pass, and not be abandoned; the companies
- that voted no on the last ballot have indicated that they will
- support it this time. If they don't, or if somebody else votes no
- for some reason, then I think everyone will simply be so frustrated
- after four years of work that the project might very well be
- abandoned. What we'd have left is a "sort of" ersatz "industry
- standard" consisting of the various "Class 2" modems in the field,
- but we'd also have the expanded and enhanced Class "1A" coming very
- soon which I think would be the "real" standard going forward into
- the future.
