  23. This configuration gives mucho garbage upon connect
  24. when it is accessed in answer mode at 2400 bps
  25. (~?~?~?~? etc.), and refuses to provide V.42 error
  26. control if it is offered.

  29. If S180=2 things work OK, but then one is stuck with
  30. the problem of MNP-5 compression if MNP gets negotiated
  31. (which is no good for compressed data like news batches).

  34. Telebit tech support says this doesn't seem to be known
  35. to them previously, and when they tried it on LA5.01W
  36. firmware the same problem also appeared...
