  11.  If there is an FAQ list that answers these questions please let me know 
  12. where it is. Also, is there is a document outlining modem standards, I would 
  13. like to know how to get that.

  15.   My question is this, I would like to be able to exchange data with several
  16. people who are scattered around the world. Mostly in developed countries,
  17. Western Europe, North America, Japan, Autralia, etc. What standards should
  18. I use for defining what kind of modem to buy in each country. I understand
  19. that in some countries you must buy the modem from the government. In some
  20. countries 2400 Baud in the maximum allowed.
