  12. Well the factory default is more than enough and you shouldn't have any
  13. problems. If you've got an IBM, it's AT&F1. Turn off software Xon/Xoff
  14. flow control and turn ON hardware flow control. Also, if you run a BBS,
  15. you might want to increase the S9-Register from 6 to 9 (DCD Detect
  16. response time) and the S7-Register (Wait time for DCD) from 50 [default]
  17. to 75. When I tried to connect to my friend's Supra 14.4k, it would hang
  18. up just as it would start negotiating.

  20. Lastly, make sure the modem you're calling supports v.42, v42bis.
