  13. Does anyone know/experience of certain brands of PABX/switchboards that
  14. cause problems for the modem? I tried to connect a 2400b modem to a
  15. Hitachi system and just could not get it to respond. ARRGHHH!! I used
  16. blind dialing, manual dialing but it just would not connect.

  18. All modem parameters were correct, I checked the com ports, I used different
  19. comm software and still no response.

  21. I've heard that Toshiba and Panasonic also have this problem as well. Is this
  22. true, and are there other brands I should be aware of? Is there any
  23. other way to solve this other than getting another direct line?
