- My standard connection is a 9600 baud v.32 connection with MNP/4 correction
- and MNP/5 compression, and I haven't had any problems with that. I have had
- difficulties when I specify a DTE that's different than my DCE, but I think
- I've got the flow-control set a little bit wrong or something.
-
- For techies out there, I'm connecting from the PPI to a Multitech hung off
- a Cisco box, then going over a T1 to a Sparc-2. Using 'sz' on the Sparc, I've
- gotten up to 1024cps at 9600 with mnp/mnp. There have been rumours about the
- Cisco's modems being upgraded to v.32bis/v.42bis 14.4's later this year, so I
- will see what kind of rates I get then. :)
