  18. Resist the temptation and buy something worth your money...not a $350 (or
  19. whatever the price) paper weight.  I've gone through three and number three
  20. will probably go out this afternoon...none have worked.  Instead of seeing
  21. some LD savings (over 2400 baud), I've paid lots more to send this damn thing
  22. back and forth between here and Oregon....it isn't worth the stress.

  24.     Could you please tell us a little more about this problem you have
  25.     with Supra  modem?

  27.     I know Supra, Zoom, boca are in the sam boat, all three companies offer
  28.     the lowest price avaliable for a 1`4.4k  modem.  I think all these
  29.     companies are still working on their problems, it's probably not
  30.     as reliable / throughly tested as a USR  or  a Telebit modem.

  32.     I too own a Boca myself.  I 'm aware of it's problem it's not a major
  33.     problem to me.  (to few of my BBS callers they have to dial twice to get
  34.     in to my board)  It's not a perfect modem, but at least it's in
  35.     98 % working (living) condition.  I'm happy for he price I paid.

  37.     I suggest for those people who don't like to live with with any
  38.     minor problems with their modem not to purchase any cheap priced
  39.     modems.  Hey, if you perfer to save a few bucks and don't mind
  40.     those little bugs in it go for it.  It's not bad at all!

  42.                   Seriously, all modems comes with 5 years or more
  43.     warranty, if you have time to wait for them to get those bugs out of
  44.     their ROMS someday you will get a perfect working modem. 
  45.     That's what those warranties are there for.    Right?
