  18. When I got my first HS modem (A MultiTech) I had similar problems under
  19. SCO to all this crap.  Turned out to be my serial board.  Replaced it
  20. with a different card with 16550 chips and the problems went away.  My
  21. GUESS is perhaps the older chips were not responding properly to a very
  22. fast CD change, but I'm not sure.  Also double check the cables.  I
  23. don't really have these problems with my WB.
