- If it mentions "14,400" as the speed, then it MUST be V.32bis. I wouldn't
- be too concerned. One caveat: often, particularly at 9600bps and higher,
- modems get pretty selective in what brands they will talk with. From
- recent tests, ATT has the best 9600 modem in terms of connecting with
- anybody with the Intel 9600ex second. Others often communicate well with
- their "brothers" (same manufact.) but not so well with "strangers." If
- you have a particularly site you want to call in mind, you should test
- drive your new modem before buying it.
