- The latter is also known as an 24/96E, revision 967-02. There is a
- 24/96E, revision 967-00, which doesn't support Class 2 FAX. Everex
- thought they could drop Class 2 from the 24/96D's successor, but
- later added it back. Be careful in ordering this beast!
-
- In essence, the above is the configuration we've been testing, with
- the addition of GhostScript and associated fonts.

- The Netfax 3.2.1 software is somewhat half-baked. It failed to work
- with our 24/96E until I made a few changes (such as interpreting
- "OK" as a "CONNECT" message in some circumstances). I still have
- a problem with a phantom "failed page" on incoming FAXes--all the
- pages get received, but then Netfax expects another one when the
- remote end hangs up. I expect this will be a pretty easy fix, but
- I've been busy doing other things.

- Things are still pretty early, but so far I've yet to see incompatability.
- I've tried it with several kinds of FAX machines, and it has worked fine.
-
- This modem seems pricey for a 2400bps-plus-FAX modem, but I couldn't
- find any others which anyone claimed worked reliably with Netfax. I
- hope this situation changes...
