  15.     Due to several requests for an extension to the deadline of
  16. September 7, the new deadline for submissions for the Workshop on Deductive
  17. Databases at JICSLP'92 is SEPTEMBER 11. A revised CFP is given below.

  25.        Joint International Conference and Symposium on Logic Programming
  26.         November 9-13, 1992, Washington D.C., USA

  28. The development of deductive database systems, which apply logic
  29. programming techniques to databases, has been of growing interest in recent
  30. years, and has resulted in a significant amount of interaction between
  31. researchers of varying backgrounds. This workshop is intended to provide a
  32. forum for theoreticians, implementors and those involved in applications to
  33. exchange ideas on the development of deductive databases systems. Topics
  34. may include (but need not be limited to) program transformations, parallel
  35. and distributed execution, optimization and implementation techniques, and
  36. applications.

  51. Abstracts should be no more than 8-10 pages in length, and there is no
  52. restriction on the format to be used. However, Latex/Tex format is
  53. preferred, particularly styles similar to those used for submissions and/or
  54. camera-ready copy for the main conference. Submission by email rather than
  55. printed copies is strongly encouraged.

  57. Copies of all accepted abstracts will be distributed to participants at the
  58. workshop. In order to provide continued access to the abstracts presented
  59. at the workshop, the proceedings will be available as a University of
  60. Melbourne technical report.
