- Due to several requests for an extension to the deadline of
- September 7, the new deadline for submissions for the Workshop on Deductive
- Databases at JICSLP'92 is SEPTEMBER 11. A revised CFP is given below.
-
-
- Final Call for Participation
-
- Workshop on Deductive Databases
- Saturday, 14 November, 1992
- in conjunction with the
- Joint International Conference and Symposium on Logic Programming
- November 9-13, 1992, Washington D.C., USA
-
- The development of deductive database systems, which apply logic
- programming techniques to databases, has been of growing interest in recent
- years, and has resulted in a significant amount of interaction between
- researchers of varying backgrounds. This workshop is intended to provide a
- forum for theoreticians, implementors and those involved in applications to
- exchange ideas on the development of deductive databases systems. Topics
- may include (but need not be limited to) program transformations, parallel
- and distributed execution, optimization and implementation techniques, and
- applications.
-
- Abstracts and/or proposals for system demonstrations should be send to the
- address below:
-
- Prof. Kotagiri Ramamohanarao
- Department of Computer Science
- University of Melbourne
- Parkville, 3052
- Australia
-
- email: rao@cs.mu.oz.au
- Phone: +61 3 282 2400
- Fax: +61 3 282 2444
-
- Abstracts should be no more than 8-10 pages in length, and there is no
- restriction on the format to be used. However, Latex/Tex format is
- preferred, particularly styles similar to those used for submissions and/or
- camera-ready copy for the main conference. Submission by email rather than
- printed copies is strongly encouraged.
-
- Copies of all accepted abstracts will be distributed to participants at the
- workshop. In order to provide continued access to the abstracts presented
- at the workshop, the proceedings will be available as a University of
- Melbourne technical report.
-
- Submission Dead-line: September 11, 1992 (extended from September 7)
- Notification Sent: October 1, 1992
- Final Manuscript Due: October 15, 1992
