- Howdy,
-
- I have been using ORACLE using only one account (the oracle
- account used for installing) till now.Now when trying to
- assign users using the ops$user_name, I am getting the
- following error (on doing sqlplus from the ops user's account)..
-
- Enter user-name:
- ERROR: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
- ORA-07318: smsget: open error when opening sgadef.dbf file.
- SunOS Error: 13: Permission denied
-
- The database has been opened in shared mode and the shared
- memory segment has "rw" permissions only for oracle.
- Also I've set the env. variables ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID and other
- variables
- appropriately.
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
