- currently I am developing an application of 4d with oracle,
- I realize if I can allocate several context area, then I can
- program more easily. But the oracle access manual really confuses me,
- this is what it said : (p.A-5)
- All open context areas are *closed* prior to COMMITing the work
-
- but the fact is I can use the same context area after commit,
- this bother me because if I depend on it ( I might depend on it a lot )
- then it may be incompatible with future version ( since it does not
- conform to what document said .) It also maybe possible I mistake
- the *close* action, does it mean deallocate ? what happens if
- I use it after commit, does it has some side effect ?
-
- I will appreciate any reply.
