- So, how does one obtain db4glgen-3.7? I used the FOURGEN product for
- a couple of weeks and was not too satisfied with it.
-
- Also... Any recommendations for report generators? I'm looking for
- something that we can integrate well with the applications we're developing.
- By "integrate well" I mean that our apps finds stuff and puts it into
- temp tables. I'd like something that we can use to let users (or us)
- predefine reports, let them select from a list of predefined reports and
- then generate the selected report from the rows selected into our temp table.
-
- ALSO.. (while I'm at it!) What's the recommended method of supporting
- "slave" terminal printers? My first inclination is to write some sort of
- little filter program that will open the external port on the HP terminal
- and then accept input piped to it from our 4gl app and output to the
- attached terminal printer. Any support for specific printer types would
- be localized in the filter program?
-
- Does someone have a better way? Way better, does someone already have
- something redistributable that does this?
-
- thx.
