- Is there a Standard? There is not even agreement on what things should
- be held in a data dictionary.

- Personally I think the datadictionary should be self defining, and be
- able to define the entire enterprise as well as the enterprises
- constituant parts. I think it should be extremely active. Others only
- want the data dictionary to store passive data. I feel like I should be
- able to describe access mechanism and other constraints. Others would
- drop these in favor of "portability" or generality.

- "Why should I bother?"
