  21. If I can give you an example of what Borland is doing this may help. Got a 
  22. blurp in the mail for the new Paradox 4.0 for $199.95 IE if you ever bought 
  23. any borland product before you're elegible and if you just call you are too.

  25. I then said: 'well, since you haven't even opened up the last 3.5 upgrade yet 
  26. you might as just get that upgraded to 4.0 and it must be substantially 
  27. cheaper'. Sorry, $179.95 is the upgrade from 3.5 to 4.0. This will 
  28. automatically qualify you for the upcoming windows upgrade for only $199.95 
  29. more. Somehow I have a fealing we're being ripped off over the short run here.

  31. But I guess that's business. They don't have to produce new products just keep 
  32. updating the old and make bundles of money.

  34. Somehow I don't think Dell has caught onto this trick yet as they sell the 
  35. entire UNIX upgrade for $195. I guess that's because they're not really in the 
  36. software business yet.
