  24. I've downloaded and compiled zip 1.9 ... and after some testings on
  25. both System V and BSD machines ... I find no problems whatever with
  26. zip 1.9 ... all text and executable files are compressed (deflated) ...
  27. The compression ratio with zip 1.9 is slightly higher than that with
  28. zip 1.0 ... And unzip 5.0 is fine as well ...

  30. The PC (and other OSs) versions of zip and unzip can be found at 
  31. valeria.cs.ucla.edu (in the /incoming/infozip directory) ... And you can
  32. also find the MSDOS version of zip 1.9 and unzip 5.0 in /pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS
  33. at wuarchive.wustl.edu ...
