  24. A few problems with that type of program....
  25.  
  26.     1. How are you going to come up with the account names? Can't use
  27.        just the first name, too many duplicates. Same with first name
  28.        last initial. What if the first name is more than 8 characters?
  29.  
  30.     2. What are you going to use for a password. Just about any info
  31.        you would have on file would likely be known by people other
  32.        than that student. Some dishonest person could really cause
  33.        problems.

  35. Probably the best way to handle it would be to have them just logon
  36. and signup as a new user. Then have an external program that'll
  37. compare their name to a list and upgrade the access level if it's
  38. found.
