- Answer to your question? *NEGATIVE* ! Only Licensed Amateur Radio Operators
- may access packet via "ham radio". A common form of packet exists on VHF
- frequencies (144.00 Mhz +-a few khz.) Our local packet BBS runs at 145.01 Mhz.
- Only messaging is done on the packet radio. You must also have a TNC/Modem and
- your rig interfaced via computer. A lot of hams still use Commodore for that
- purpose. And then, only may personal/technical messages be transferred. No
- business according to FCC Part97 Rules and Regs. This isn't very indepth, I
- realize, just a simple answer to your question.
