- I have recently placed an online, illustrated, hypertext version
- of the TrueType specifications available for anonymous ftp on
- ftp.uu.net in the /vendor/microsoft/TrueType-Info directory.
- This is one file (tt-help.zip) is in Windows help format, which
- means that if you have Windows 3.1, you already have everything
- needed to use this. It comes complete with colored code words
- that enables you to quickly jump from one section to another,
- in addition to a complete alphabetic jump-listing of each
- TrueType instruction. This is the same 400 page book which is
- also available in Word for Windows format in that same directory.
-
- In fact, you can even make this hypertext version into an icon on
- your desktop so that you can just double click on it to launch the
- program. Look in the "readme.txt" file in that directory for
- instructions on how to accomplish this. There is also a pkunzip.exe
- program in that directory in case you are having problems in
- uncompressing these files.
-
- The same online reference is also available on Compuserve in for
- those people who don't have access to ftp on the Internet. It is
- located in the Windows SDK section ("GO WINSDK"), under library #9
- (GDI). It will also be appearing in a future Microsoft Developer's
- Network CD-ROM disk.
