  20. I've taken the liberty of modifying Stan's latest version of mini-inews
  21. (nntpclient) version 1.6 to add a few additional capabilities.

  23.     1. Support for nn. Installing this version of mini-inews
  24.        for nn is simple, because it now uses the Configure script
  25.        and sets things up correctly whether for nn or not.
  26.  
  27.     2. Maintain the HIDDENNET capability... seems a few people liked
  28.        it.
  29.  
  30.     3. mini-inews will now add the Date, Lines and Message-ID header
  31.        lines if absent. This means that MINI_INEWS_HEADERS is
  32.        no longer required for NNTP-based nn. Addition of Lines
  33.        is a compile-time option (which is enabled by running
  34.        Configure).
  35.  
  36.     4. mini-inews will also be able to generate "traditional"
  37.        Message-ID header lines: Message-ID: <142@host.domain>
  38.        where the number is incremented for each post. If you
  39.        don't want this, then mini-inews will generate ID's
  40.        in the form of <user.date@host.domain>
