- Maybe others view this as a matter of opinion also. But consider that
- DEC is talking (yes talking, if they are blowing smoke. . . ) about an Alpha
- "PC" rated above 70 Specmark. Likewise, high numbers for workstations and
- "minis". Arguably not everyone is ready to pay 6-7 thousand for a PC so they
- have a 50 Spec machine in the pipeline for $3,500 according to the rags. A
- redefinition of what is a PC, i.e. "your workstation is a PC". The Mountain
- may be scalable in Mountain View but it doesn't look like the architecture
- is. ;-)
