My company has a product called RTworks that works quite well on the Indigo.
It is a software development tool that has a client/server architecture that
is designed for developing applications for real-time analysis, interpretation
and display of data. One of the clients is an expert shell that supports
backward and forward chaining, object oriented programing with multiple
inheritance, focusing on a subset of rules, priorities and many other
capabilities. The performance has been benchmarked at 10,000 rules per second
on a SPARC 2 platform. It is an open architecture and can be extended with
your own C code or imbedded in other applications.

The other clients are a data acquisition module and a human computer interface
that provides a point and click environment. The server module provides inter-
process messaging and data passing. Clients can be purchased seperately.
