-
- I have written 2 execs that manage my spool space here. One to collect
- spool space statistics. It generates reports on the top users, top
- files, and also by group, ie Students, Staff, Postgraduate.
-
- The other exec I've written backup and purge reader by a set of
- criteria, eg Student's reader after 3 days, etc.
-
- VMSPOOL by Systems Center is a good tool to manage your spool area.
- I've not gotten it because we cannot afford :-(
-
- IBM has an "internal" tool called SFPURGER that will purge (no backup)
- reader by a set of criteria. "Internal" means they use it themselves
- and may just give it to you free on the understanding that no support
- comes with it. SFPURGER will comes together as standard tool with
- VM/ESA.
