- I'm a doctoral student trying to strengthen myself methodologically, and
- I'm having difficulty in understanding the concept of coefficient alpha.
- The books I've referred to are beyond me, and I was hoping someone could
- explain in simple terms what coefficient alpha is supposed to measure.
-
- The context in which I've been asked to use it is in a series of variables,
- each of which is a response to a survey questions, and all of which are
- supposed to comprise an index (of job satisfaction, family-work conflict, etc.)
-
- Hope someone can help.
