- It has been my experience that while the signal-to-noise ratio of this
- newsgroup is greater than many, it is *not* infinite. In particular, many
- responses to queries are a bit off the mark and I sometimes despair for the
- poster who receives a set of sometimes contradictory repsonses to a question.
-
- The point? If student post homework or exam questions to the net, they're
- still faced with the problem of separating the wheat from the chaff. Until
- we reach the point where many of us are annoyed with obvious homework questions
- (where we can identify book and problem number) why don't we all (individually)
- just continue to respond to those queries that pique our interest and let the
- others pass?
-
- Sorry to have further lowered the signal-to-noise ratio with this post.
