- Both yes and no! The configuration is so, that we run our jobs on a
- HP9000/845 with rather limited mag.disk space. The epoch is accessed
- via NFS. The epoch itself has 2 mag.disks and a jukebox, which mount
- the optical disks. It is therefore difficult to measure where a given
- delay has its source.
- The local rule of thumb are:
- Batch-processing: You will never notice the difference.
- Interactive: Move your files to the local harddisk.
