- Strictly speaking, I don't know. But it was within the last 6 or 8
- months that I upgraded to SunOS 4.1.2. I called SI Tech support to
- ask the same question as Evan's regarding 4.1.2, and Tech support
- said they had no machines running SAS under 4.1.2 (yet) and to let them
- know if I had any problems (I haven't).
-
- We are being advised here to hold off on using Solaris V2.0. Here is
- the text that our systems people sent us (has nothing to do with SAS).
-
- I should add that I maintain my own Sun system, and have no system
- administrator training, so this note is clearly directed at people
- like me.
-
- Alert Alert Alert!
- Use Solaris V2.0 at your own risk!
- Attention Sun Users:
- Integrating Solaris V2.0 printers with existing BSD-based Sun
- networks may require system administrator training.
- SunOS V4.1.3 is expected to be released in Aug./Sept. timeframe and
- Solaris V2.0.1 is expected to be released in Dec.Jan. timeframe.
- We therefore recommend upgrades to V4.1.3, then Solaris V2.1.1 for
- production environments.
