- Subject: a question about transfering large sas data sets
- Lines: 21
-
- I need advice as to how to transfer a very large SAS data set
-
- Specs:
-
- The data set takes up about 57 megabytes.
- It was created using version 5.18 under the VMS operating system.
- It will be used by someone with an IBM/OS installation.
-
-
- Problems:
-
- Receiver can not accept DAT tapes
- PROC COPY does not create datasets that are bigger than one tape
- so the dataset needs to be split up.
-
- Does anyone know of an efficient way to transfer the data? I have tape
- capabilites, but would rather not use more than 5.
-
- My internet address is MARCUS@BIOST.BIOSTAT.WISC.EDU.
-
- Thanks.
