  17. Have you tried re-installing OS/2?  Insert the installation diskette and cold-
  18. boot the machine.  Then follow the prompts.  Did you leave DOS on your disk?
  19. If so you can book from a bootable DOS diskette, but remember that your fixed
  20. disk is set for OS/2.  You can restore the config.sys and
  21. and autoexec.bat files for OS/2, if you happen to have copies, by first
  22. inserting the installation diskette, re-boot, and then follow the prompts to
  23. the first program disk.  Then escape, I think with F3, you are in OS/2 and
  24. you can copy files from diskettes, etc.   Your problem with COM3 has been
  25. discussed considerably on the Prodigy board and you can find some help there.
  26. You can also find help and fixes on the IBM NSC BBS whose number is in the
  27. OS/2 manual.  Don't give up.  OS/2 really works for me.
