- For what it's worth, the (US of America's) National Bureau of Standards has
- been laboring under the new name National Institute of Standards and
- Technology for several years now, by act of Congress. The old name was
- claimed not have any recognition value! I think the truth is, the name was
- inflated by someone in Congress to make the agency sound "bigger and
- better."
