- One other thing about Papyrus and other programs -- programs like
- ProCite and Notebook II are more general purpose. If you want to be
- able to catalog your record collection or your art (assuming you have
- something besides the cheap prints you got in college....), these programs
- will do much better. ProCite has many different record types, and Notebook II
- is completely configurable. On the other hand, Papyrus is designed specifically
- for managing scholarly collections of articles, chapters, books, theses,
- reports, etc. Most of the fields have fixed names (author, editor, etc.) -
- only three can be changed. But because it is specialized, it is also very
- sophisticated and powerful. It doesn't try to be more than one thing.
- Oh yeah - and the program has a sense of humor - really. You'll have to
- try it to see. I think they have a demo version by the way - for free, or a
- small sum.
-
- GOod luck - if I can be of further assistance, let me know.
