  12. regarding Library Master and other such programs Itamar stresses the
  13. fact that data are compressed. Well, that looks like a disadvandage
  14. but must not necessarily be such. Because calling a long nbbibNNN.dat
  15. file and editing it can be a rather dangerous affair. On the other
  16. hand compressed files may be inspected. I use AskSam beside Ibid and
  17. switch into the .ask files from NB via Buerg's new LIST which lets you
  18. mark stuff and export it to a file. This is then called from NB, stripped
  19. of its junk, and used. With a task switcher or OS/2 a genuine all-purpose
  20. data-base program looks still more attractive, because usually it is
  21. more flexible, faster, easier to adapt to your needs.....
  22. and updates come when they are anounced.
