  19. Someone else commented on declining numbers on the list a while ago.

  21. Some of this may result from subscribers, like me, who move to reading the list
  22. as it appears on more newslist services (e.g., those routinely received by Ohio
  23. State University now) from being an individual subscriber.  Such changes are 
  24. not a loss of subscribers, but simply a more efficient use of resources.  It 
  25. strikes my that raw numbers from the central list are not a very accurate 
  26. determinant of list popularity if intermediate centers redistribute our 
  27. communications.
