- It is a little known fact that certain links on the Internet are still
- handled by drums and smoke signals. A strong wind (and this _is_
- hurricane season) can hold things up for days, cause messages to
- duplicate or arrive out of order, or even garble them so thoroughly
- that complaints about late shipments appear to be recipes for apple
- crisp.
