- Hello everyone. I've got the new machine, a 486/33 with 8MB RAM and
- a 200MB hard drive, all primed and ready for OS/2, which according
- to what I've read in the popular press (and around town on several
- BBS's) is just what I need for DOS multitasking and a ticket to the
- Brave New World of 32-bit processing (when I need and can get 32-bit
- applications). Yet I read on and on and discover many complaints
- about OS/2: bugs, clumsy and frustrating installation process, and
- (worst of all) the occasional trashing of the hard disk's FAT, etc.
-
- My question: anyone here using OS/2 with NB? What wisdom can you offer?
- Should I be a pioneer (albeit one of the one million, if IBM's figures
- are correct), or should I play it safe and stick with MS-DOS 5.0?
-
- I'd ask more specific questions, but I'm not there yet....
-
- E-mail me personally or post to the net if you think it's worthwhile.
