  23.                               The New York Academy of Medicine seeks an
  24.                               experienced, innovative, professionally
  25.                               active librarian with an extensive
  26.                               background in interlibrary loan and
  27.                               collection access.  Responsible for
  28.                               planning and implementing all departmental
  29.                               activities including supervision of 11 FTE,
  30.                               interlibrary loan, document delivery
  31.                               services and stack retrieval.  Promotes the
  32.                               use of the collection through marketing of
  33.                               document delivery services to the business
  34.                               community, health professionals and other
  35.                               groups.

  37. SALARY:                       $40,000 with excellent fringe benefits.

  39. QUALIFICATIONS:               ALA accredited MLS.  5 years ILL experience
  40.                               in an academic, hospital or large public
  41.                               library, 2 years at a supervisory level,
  42.                               demonstrated communications and managerial
  43.                               skills.  Thorough knowledge of automated
  44.                               interlibrary loan systems, DOCLINE and
  45.                               OCLC preferred.

  52. Middle Atlantic Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine,
