  17. I have not been overly satisfied with all the different typing tutor programs
  18. out there.  I am not sure they are that helpful in teaching typing skills.
  19.  I am experimenting with a class of students this fall with a new method
  20. called the Almena method of teaching.  There is a cost per student or cost
  21. per board/school.  After the first hour you know where all the keys are and
  22. after the next 10 hours you can do 20wpm.  They have all sorts of testamonies
  23. from teachers at all levels.  Once you sign up you have to go away for a one
  24. day training session and then are sworn to secrecy about their method.  I think
  25. it has merit.  I am trying it.  The one advantage a high school teacher told me
  26. was that students are able to type complete sentences after the first hour not
  27. just the "dfdf jkjk..." of the past.
