- "...Less is known about this professor Karl Clauberg, M.D. from
- Koenigshuette, who later pursued his experiments on live specimens in
- Auschwitz, where he had a much wider range of victims....
-
- All kinds of experiments were carried out by different doctors here, among
- them castrations and sterilizations. The doctors made no bones about it that
- their purpose was to prepare for the sterilization of certain European
- nationalities, most likely Slavs, after the war.
-
- Clauberg's sterilization project starter with about 350 or 400 mostly Greek
- and Dutch women on December 18, 1942. He injected into their uterus
- consecutively iodipirin, F 12a, which was diluted novacaine, and citobarium.
- He also subjected the women to x-rays. The process resulted in peritonitus,
- inflamation of the ovaries, and high fever. The ovaries were then removed,
- usually in two separate operations, and then sent to Berlin for further
- analysis. Most women who survived these experiments ended up in the gas
- chambers."
