- The shop is named "Tieto-Nikkari", and it has a good selection of automobile
- and aircraft kits, also it is a distreibutor of Verlinden products and Xtra-
- color paints. The address is Ruoholahdenkatu 20 (?), at the corner of Ruoho-
- lahdenkatu and Hietalahdenkatu. Oh well, telephone catalogue map page 15,
- square # 51-72, at the end of Ruoholahden Silta viaduct.
-
- >Scale models are sold also by 'Askartelukeskus' at Olavinkatu 1 (beside
- >Ramada Presidentti Hotel)
-
- -and Helsinki Bus Station - you can't miss it ! But still rather try Tieto-
- Nikkari.
-
- >and 'Stockmann' department store in the corner

-
- Not as good as in Tieto-Nikkari. You could also try the deparment store
- City-Sokos (next to Main Post Office).
-
- >The biggest selection of aviation (and also other) books has 'Akateeminen
- >kirjakauppa' in the corner of Keskuskatu and Pohjoisesplanadi (just across
- >the street from Stockmann, at the eastern side).
-
- Rather try Aviation Shop, Kajanuksenkatu 1, which is an aviation litterature
- specialist shop. It is in the basement of a two-store house at the corner
- of Kajanuksenkatu and Mechelininkatu.
-
- >The other bookshop to visit is 'Suomalainen kirjakauppa' at
- >Aleksanterinkatu 23 (again across the street from Stockmann, but at the
- >northern side).
-
- >In Finland the bigger shops close on weekdays between 6 and 8 pm., the
- >smaller ones might close already at 5 pm. On Saturdays the closure varies
- >between 1 pm. and 6 pm.
-
- Smaller at 1300 or 1400 (the hobby shops usually the later), the larger
- ones at 1500, 1600 or 1800 (City-Sokos).
-
- If you wish to have an adventure :), you might also try "Leluliike Haatainen"
- near Tikkurila railroad station (quite good selection, occassionally some
- rarities from IMPS members' surplus stores), worth of visiting though hard to
- find (in Vehkapolku, back yard of a red brick building behind Tikkurila
- church near Asematie, telephone catalog page 46 square # 57-87), or "Megalelu"
- at Malmi railroad station.
