  33.         Bill, I am so happy for you, that your found your child again however,
  34. I totally disagree with your statement about Childrens services, or whatever it
  35. is called down there.....sure there are times when they make the wrong judgment
  36. call, on both ends of the scale, not investigating throughly and taking a
  37. child, when there is real evidence of abuse, and sometimes yes, they get
  38. involved in situations where there is no abuse....however, place yourself in
  39. their position...it would be very hard to make that judgment call, they are not
  40. GODS, or whatever. I would prefer them making mistakes in cases where there is
  41. no abuse, instead of them making them in cases where there is...and the child
  42. is beaten to death....I have heard of this happeing alot more, and it sickens
  43. me....

  45.         In may own case, I went to Childrens Welfare when I was 15, I had lived
  46. with the abuse for so many years, but I had just had enough, after getting two
  47. black eyes for Xmas....and nothing else...I went to them, they in turn talked
  48. to my Dad and my Mother, it made my life that much more difficult when they
  49. found out I had reported them...and at that time I only had the guts to talk
  50. about the physical and not the sexual....however to make a sad long story
  51. short, I was told to take it and lump or leave home and try to make it on my
  52. own....yeah like right...a 15 year girl, with no work skills, and Learning
  53. Disability, making it own her own....

  55.         Luckily after many many years, of making bad judgments and decisions, I
  56. am finally a Survivor instead of a Victim...I for one, want Childrens Services
  57. to me more involved with the child as a child, and not just another number in
  58. the system...I have worked with juvinlles for many years, and find it sad, that
  59. once they are in the system, that they are just another face amongst so many
  60. other faces.....so I guess the real answer lays, in that us people that do
  61. care...to get more involved. to care more about the young....ours or other
  62. peoples....
