- There is an IRC application for the Mac under development. A
- pre-release can be gotten from
- sumex-aim.stanford.edu: /info-mac/comm/ircle-047.hqx
- Version 1.0 will be out in 1-2 weeks, hopefully.

- This works via the MacTCP driver using the standard IRC protocol.
- There is no special Mac IRC protocol, nor an implementation using only
- AppleTalk, since IRC servers understand only TCP/IP.
