  23. There is an IRC application for the Mac under development. A
  24. pre-release can be gotten from
  25. sumex-aim.stanford.edu: /info-mac/comm/ircle-047.hqx
  26. Version 1.0 will be out in 1-2 weeks, hopefully.

  28. This works via the MacTCP driver using the standard IRC protocol.
  29. There is no special Mac IRC protocol, nor an implementation using only
  30. AppleTalk, since IRC servers understand only TCP/IP.
