  11. Here's a hypertext applied to a non-technical, non-fiction, non-computer
  12. subject area.  It's also available as shareware, so you can examine it's
  13. engine and structure at low cost.

  15. I think the most important aspect of this application is that it goes
  16. directly to a user.  The user decides directly (that is, without an
  17. organizational approval process) to try this mechanism.  The user may
  18. have *no intrinsic interest* in hypertext, but simply judge the
  19. application on it's utility.  As you can see in the machine
  20. requirements, this will run on almost any PC-compatible, so the 
  21. judgement reduces to "Do I want the benefits of this product?"  
  22.  
  23. I would like to know about other hypertext products that similarly
  24. address a consumer need.  (Or arguments that position well-known
  25. hypertexts in this sector.)

  38.    in the Shareware Version which provides names, addresses, phone numbers, type
  39.    of contact,  membership information, affiliations with national associations,
  40.    and newsletters.  The commercial version ($15.00) contains more than 500
  41.    entries and includes groups, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), hotels,
  42.    apartments, etc.  Available as shareware on many BBSs as ANHG92.ZIP or
  43.    ANHG92.SDN (Software Distribution Network, .PAK compressed file).
