- Look into TBBS by eSoft. It runs under DOS and can support up to 64
- simultaneous callers on a single machine. eSoft has an option module,
- called TDBS, which allows you to write dBase/Clipper style applications
- for your users to use online. It supports dBase files and has file
- sharing, record locking and all that rot.
-
- This may be a solution for you, if you've got the budget. You can easily
- spent US$5000 on software.
-
- Otherwise, as you stated, a Unix BBS/database would work.
-
- If you need more info, email me and I'll see what I can dig up.
-
- DISCLAIMER: I don't work for eSoft. I don't even own any of their products --
- I just know it's available.
