  14. I have installed CMUTEK on a VAX with 32 MB Memory.

  16. Following Problems occur:

  18. 1)

  20. When i mount a top-level directory on a VAX Drive (RA91) from a SUN 4/40 i
  21. measure the following performance:
  22.  
  23. mount melmac:/dua2/export
  24. time cp /vmunix /export
  25. ... 1.20 seconds ...
  26.  
  27. with a filesize of something like 1.5 MB i calculated a throughput of 22
  28. KByte/Second which is floppy performance.
  29. The system parameters on the VAX were changed as recommended in the
  30. installation manual.
  31. The VAX was idleing, no users were on.

  33. 2)

  35. Connecting to the VAX via telnet does not work. (not reached)
  36. following works:
  37. login on the vax, telnetting to the UNIX host, and from there back to the
  38. vax works fine.

  40. 3)

  42. when i ftp from the unix host a file to or from the VAX the transfer never
  43. ends, i have to interrupt it with control-c.
  44. the ftp on the vax is fine, i can transfer to or from the unix host, no
  45. problem.
