- It would be if internet connections were free, but they aren't. I speak UUCP to
- my neighboring internet site because I don't have the blessings of the US
- government to connect to the internet, or the cash to do it through a commercial
- vendor. Also, SLIP doesn't provide for periodic calling and shutting down the
- line when all the traffic is done. PPP may do all these things, I don't know
- since I haven't seen it yet.
