- Just start up MAIL, READ any and all new mail messages. When you
- are _sure_ there are NO NEW MAIL messages left to read (I don't mean you
- have to delete them, you just need to have read them), then type READ/NEW
- and exit:

- $MAIL
- MAIL> READ
- MAIL> READ
- .
- .
- .
- MAIL> READ
- %MAIL-E-NOMOREMSG, no more messages

- MAIL> READ/NEW
- %MAIL-W-NONEWMAIL, no new messages

- MAIL> EXIT

- The new mail count has now been reset to zero...
